What is the name of the cartoon about gnomes and saving the environment? i watched it when i was a kid..?

it wasn’t david the gnome nor captain planet. it was like in some rain forest.. had some catchy tune and i’m thinking it might have been from brazil but in english when i watched. probably dubbed or not (may have originally been in english)
